GOODBYE SAUDI ARABIA!!!

Well, I guess this is it. The time that my oldest brother has been waiting for. The departure from this country. SAUDI ARABIA.

After 12 years of staying in this desert, my dad has come to his sense that we have to leave by next year. When I first heard the news from the mouth of my sister, I was overly shocked. Totally unexpected.  I was hoping to stay here for more than a year.  But I guess that is the final decision.

There are at least few things I will miss in this country. Let's start.
I will miss:
Shawarma
Sharookh
Kabsa
Falafel
My friends who are still  enduring to stay in this barren land
The places we've been to
The fresh fruit drinks they made
Kudu
The abundance of tissue papers from any fast food chains
Chlorinated water
Wide open roads
Almost no one outside
My dad's car
The automatic washing machine
The MUSIC! (in other words, the prayer time!)
The mustawas catching you wearing shorts (I'm referring to the religious police)
Oh the SHABABS that really gets on my nerve
The softdrinnks that are sold cheaply
The bag of chips that are sold cheaply
And last but not the least: The rooftops!

But of course, there are things that I really hate in this country.
And those are:
THE ABAYA!
The mutawas
The perverts
The restriction of talking to women in public
No cinemas
The restriction of open practicing of your own faith
THE HOMOSEXUALS!!!! (never forget them!)
The underground peer pressure (if you want to know about it, don't hesitate to ask)
AND THE LAST AND FOR MOST: Some websites are blocked by which they are not pornographic

But despite with all the things that I hate in this freaking country, since I grew up here, I will miss you forever, SAUDI ARABIA. No matter how obnoxious you can get, no matter how stupid some people can get, I will always cherish all the good times I've had in this country.

Even though I only have 10 months left in here, I will make the most of it. No matter how bad it may get, I think that is worth paying the consequences.

I will never, no ever, forget you Saudi Arabia.

What Happened from that 2 months of no INTERNET!!!

Oh how I miss the internet so much! Stinginess was ruling the whole time! Well, can't blame my dad for it. The only way that I can go check my e-mails, Facebook, Twitter, etc. is either the rooftop where I have to use my iPod or my sister's laptop, or the church. Well, I often go to the rooftop. That is the only way though. I can't go to the church everyday, unless there is an activity. Anyways, the past two months was like a crap hole to me. I have done nothing but to do the chores, cook, be nagged by my brother and sister, be annoyed by my nemeses, and as always, the basic alternative of mine, watching television!

But somehow, I made that 2 months worth while waiting for the return. I read some books, done a lot of exercise which is always missed most of the time, had a meaningful conversation with my sister and my dad, and fixed things that were needed to be fixed.

From that 2 months of waiting and enduring all the pain and suffering (What a lame-o!), I learned the greatest thing of all, using my time. Most of it is I just waste it. I am the type of person who is always lazy to do meaningful things, or even saving it. That is the worst habit that I can ever have. AND I LOVE IT!
