Changes

Yeah, changes. Yep, things are not the same anymore. As you can see, the year has changed into 2012.

OH MY GOSH! HOW DID THAT HAPPENED?!

So, for the next coming months I wouldn't be that active on this blog. No, I'm not leaving you guys on thin air! I'm just preparing myself for something really important, as of now.

Even my picture is changed into something new! HURRAY! But even I'm gone, I'll keep you all updated. It's gonna happen via my sister. Yes, my sister would be the one be administering my blog for about 2 years. And that would start about few months from now.

Oh My Readers

So, for quite sometime, I've been noticing that many of my audiences are mostly reading about how much I hate Justin Bieber..... So I came into a contemplation on making another hate article on how much I hate the person (I guess you know who it is). SO, for next few months, or years that are about to come on many more articles.

Hurray For the Hating Jypsy Coder!!!

Note: If you want to suggest some articles that would do for it, please do so. I'm not the smartest person to think on some titles and gossips, since I'm a type of person who doesn't watch that much T.V., and many more schtuffs. Never be scared to send me suggestions at jypsycode@gmail.com, or my yahoo account, on jypsy_casia@yahoo.com

I'm looking forward to be a hater again :D

I am Lost!

SO! After a couple of days that I was on the mission field, so many things had happened that I wasn't even thinking that would even happen.

Meh!
But what the hey, changes are quite inevitable. And so are crappy things that would pretty much happen to me very often than I would be expecting.

Just so you know, I am not blogging on the field! O_O I've been asked to serve as a part-time missionary, which is one of the things that I wasn't expecting much.

And guess what! They call me an RM now!! Which is funny to think that I haven't even served a full-time mission! But I must say, it sounds quite good to hear that from people you know.

Oh how dark my skin has gone for only 13 days! But it's ok, I don't mind

SO! About to go on with my normally insane life again!

I miss my Old Life!

YES!

I want to go back to Saudi.... But apparently I can't just do it like we used to do it before.

So far, my life has been quite challenging at any levels since adjustment is not yet over in our life here in Manila.  We faced tons of hardships that we didn't use to see or have from the time we were in Riyadh.

I believe that I can't turn back time to put myself on those times that I was in my haven.... and by haven I meant the kitchen with a big big big fridge, with lot's of food, and not leftovers cooked from a few days ago.

Ah the good ol' days! How I miss them so much, it makes me cry every night I think about it. (NOT!)

A Roadless Journey of Mr. Jypsy, Adjust

The long 9 hour flight of traveling is over! My body is so jet lagged, not to mention covered in fatigue that causes a full body pain. So, to cover up my pain with another set of pain, I carried all the luggage we brought. Including the luggage of my dad, who turns out isn't with us.

Yep, still covered in fatigue. We are going to the arrival section of the airport, humid, sticky, crowded. It's the greeting of my home country for me, WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES, JYPSY!

Waiting for our step mom, I'm multitasking like an iPhone, guarding our stuffs, keeping my siblings from roaming around with some random creepy strangers that turns out to be some kidnapper, and looking for that car that  my dad asked to my step mom to rent.

Then there she goes, with the short shorts she's wearing, with my brother who's hair is a total mess, and my bald cousin whom I really admire, I feel so welcomed!

On the way, we were buying some grub before we head to our new home. I asked for a non-chicken-contented burger from McDonald's, I got a pork one! YAY! But wait... it's too salty!!! Oh well, live with it.

Arrived on our new home, still I managed to carry all the stuffs with my fatigue, with the help of that driver who I don't know, and with his creepy mate beside me on the van. Thanks Manong, both of you are quite helpful.

Now, I see a bed, I am ready to retire!!! Good night! Oops, rather good morning!

A Roadless Journey of Mr. Jypsy, The Beginning

Packed, baggage all ready to be brought. Rushing to catch the flight to Abu Dhabi, a major hindrance has happened unexpectedly. My dad was held on the immigration. Drama and scene already happening, a final decision was made that the 5 of us would travel alone, me, my 2 sisters, and my 2 brothers.

Though the kids are with tears and so is my sister, we have to move on and travel just us, without any parent with us. Carrying all the baggage, and some that are supposed to be brought by my dad, I brought them all. And with a last minute problem-o, my sister had to run back to get our boarding passes and a few bucks for our arrival. Seated on their designated seats, the kids can't stop looking for their dad. Without any hesitations, we had to explain the scenario we are into. So far, no one asked anything at the arrival in the Abu Dhabi Airport.

Arriving in Abu Dhabi, we have to wait 6 hours from 5 am till 11 am for the next flight to Manila for our final destination. As we waited for those times, we felt nothing but fatigue and shivering coldness of the airport, though there is a free Wi-Fi around it. That's the only incentive we can have as we wait for those hours.

As the painful waiting for 6 hours is over, the gate for  the plane we are about to ride on is open and ready to put in passengers. As we search for our seats and sit on them,  we are on for another travel that would take us about another 9 hours of flying in the air!

Buh-Luhd!!!

A piece of cotton with my blood :)

SO! There comes a time when one person has made a decision that would change his life, pretty much drastically, well, not forever, but has done a lot.

Few weeks ago, I decided to donate blood for one of our church members who needs it for her operation. I must say the things you need to do is quite strict, but when you get to give out blood, it feels so accomplishing and rewarding when you get to give a piece of you for others who need that piece.

I remember the slogan written in the donation room where there are tons of pictures and service projects that was posted in their bulletin board. But one slogan has remained in my mind:
You are donating blood
Jesus gave His blood for our sin
You are in a cot
Jesus was in the cross
You are to donate a pint
He gave his all

I remember one of the reminders that was given to us even before we went to the hospital where we would be donating our blood. They have been constantly reminding us not to stand on the cot or bed for about 20 or more minutes after donating. The whole giving part took only about 5-10 minutes, and my resting time only took about 15 minutes or less. And the creepiest part of my donating, I actually had dreamed of it few weeks or so before donating. So I can say, I was meant to donate my blood, I think :>

The over-all experience was so awesome! I am looking forward on donating my blood in the near future, but too near though. I would have to need my blood, though. That's the rule of donating, wait at least for a year to replenish your blood, or three months is enough. TeeHee ^_^

Giving Up

So, it all comes down to the point of giving up...... I admit, I'm not that strong or smart, or even that patient.

But choices and priorities baffle things up.... especially when some people are too concerned about you being not in school.

Basically, I'm at the brink of quitting school, and doing something really hardcore. (Not doing drugs, OK?)

But in the end, certain priorities are there to make you realize things that you need to do in order to attain what you want to happen. And you just have to make some choices that would somewhat make a turn in your stinking life.

For this, I thank the people who made me think about some things that I have to do when in this kind of situation. Even if I don't get to put it right in, you know who you are.... especially you, Mama :3

So giving up, it's off my to-do list.... and on with Perseverance and Eduring

A New Chapter of My Life

Yes, you heard it right. A new chapter of my life.

So far, I've been doing a lot of stuffs that made me entirely busy, I didn't even got the chance to update this blog. But anyways, I'm ALIVE!! I've been going to bars, clubs, birthday parties, beaches, houses of some of my friends, hanging out with new friends, and meeting up with my relatives.

As I came to realize, I've wasted a lot of time being a bum for so long, I totally had to adjust on so many things. Going back to school for an instance. DANG! I missed school somehow, especially my high school years, where you cram on making your homework, you cheat on taking exams and quizzes, and you  laugh and cry with your school friends on what you have experienced through-out the school year. Oh how fun it is to bring back memories. But now is the time to meet the new memories that are about to come.

I think this is all I can say for now after a long technological comatose I was into.

Fun Fun Fun Fun!!

So few days ago, my sister called up some of the school peeps to have a mini-reunion since we're leaving Riyadh really soon. Some things didn't really go as planned, but still it was fun.

So, we first headed to the school to meet up with some of our teachers. Had a chat for awhile, took some photo's that really cracked us up when checked it out. Then off we went to the nearby mall, Riyadh Gallery.
The mother ninja!!

The drill was pretty obvious and typical. We headed to the food court, took a lot of pictures, and ate. In the food court, it appears that we are the only group that makes a lot of noises, and mess around. And by messing around, I don't mean by having rubbishes around the place, just being too lively, I guess.

You're not Asian if you don't do the peace sign in the picture V^_^
After all the picture taking we did in the mall, and a few laughs, it's time to head back to the school since that is our starting point. As we are about to search for a typical taxi, there was already a cab company called "London Cab" is just outside the gate of the mall, ready for any customers. Amazed by the classiness, we took another opportunity to take pictures in the car, until we reached back to the school. No hesitations, we still took pictures with the cab and it's taxi even before he leaves. It's a good thing he's one cool cab driver.

It's big enough to have some few big people inside :D
All in all, it was a very fun day. Though we missed some people, not some, a lot! Things like this can never be forgotten nor forsaken.

Stereotypical

Before we go down to the bottom line of this, let's learn the real meaning of stereotype.
A stereo love <3

Stereotype -/ˈstɛr i əˌtaɪp, ˈstɪər-[ster-ee-uh-tahyp, steer-]/ (noun, verb)

noun
:a set form; convention
:Sociology. a simplified and standardized conception or image invested with special meaning and held in common by members of a group

verb
:to make of stereotype
:to characterize or regard as a stereotype

Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/stereotype

Here are some opinions of some of my pals whom I asked on their definition of "stereotype"

The Big Chick

Putting people into groups, different groups.

A-nony-mous

A bias or preconceived idea about a person or a group of person.

Sarah Brisco

A stereotypical  thingamajig.

Johanna Casia

A stereo that types.

Ria

Something that others characterize certain races in that is offending.

Now, since there are lot's of definition that I got, I only took some that were the first one to be said. And now, let's cut to the chase. My turn, as many people say.

Segregation, being biased, individual characterization, that's how it goes in this world. Where most people consider their selves as perfect enough to judge. I think the best example for a place with this kind of situation is the school.

First scenario: Coolness range

Popular kids- they're often times, known as the coolest of them all, the "perfect" people!

Cheerleaders- I think some of them can be considered as part of the popular kids. since they're often seen on cheering competition, basketball games, football games, etc., and a few pep rally, there's a humongous chance that they would be pretty much well-known.

Jocks- Same ranking as the cheerleaders. Often seen every game, except Math-Olympics, Battle of the Brains, and Chess games.

Bullies- Popular to the generic type of students, nerds & geeks. They can be also the cheaters of the room. Popular because they always have the capabilities to beat you up and pick on you.

Nerds- Some of them are the "teacher's pet". You'll see them often carrying books, or with glasses and talking about some schtuffs that are quite smart. Often being bullied, they often go home with bruises or out of lunch money.

The Generics- The mass students of the school. They are what the call the "commoners". Often unknown and often forgotten easily like a bubble that pops in a split second.

Now, another scenario that is also well-known in this planet.

Second scenario: Race

White- I think just saying it explains everything. But I'm not saying all of them are jerks or something. NO! I have lots of white friends that aren't jerks or morons that would treat me wrong.

Black- The gangsters (Not to offend anyone). I think they are quite musical in many ways. Many artists nowadays are black people. And I don't think I need to give examples for it.

Asians- The "Chinks", "Gooks", "Japs", etc. that I don't want to spit out. Always underestimated by other according to the "size" (If you wanna know about it, chat with me on anywhere I'm available). Considered by others to be the "lowest form of people". (OUCH!) P.S.: Arabs, Indians, Some Russians, are Asians. Remember that kids!

[Note: If some ideas or opinions are sensitive or plain wrong, never hesitate to tell it to me, OK??]

Now, enough with the scenarios. Time for point.

From the time I started wandering around the world of net, I've been encountering so many stuffs like how they see these type of people, or how they think about 'em. One of which is when I started downloading the app on my iPod, Chat Lobby. Since I'm Asian and a teen, my first impulses are going to the Teens room and the Asian room. The Teens room, doesn't seem to care to anyone but their selves. That room is always filled with people yearning for their sexual needs. It's an automatic rejection. Then I started heading to the Asian room. I was welcomed openly, and not ignored. In that room, different types of people are there. Randomness has always been the key to start a topic in that room. And now, many people in that room are some what my friends now. We got closer to each other despite the fact that it's only an online chat, and we always stick together against the "trolls",haters, and pedos. Bottom line of this, there is no stereotypical views when it comes to friendship.
    • To all the people in the Asian room that inspired me to do this post:
