Expect the Totally Unexpected!

Just awhile ago, we had a Young Men Activity outside the Riyadh center, and when got out of the Riyadh center, there are things you wouldn't think that exist in this parts of the world, but I must say I am totally amazed by it.

Just a couple of weeks earlier, we had a caving activity, where I've never thought that there is, oh wait, THERE ARE SOME FEW CAVES IN THIS COUNTRY! I've heard of the Hofuf Cave, but I haven't been there, so I thought that that cave is the only cave in the country. But when I heard about an activity from the week before we had that one, I was totally surprised that there are some caves in here! And for the record, they are not the type of caves that you would think of, but you would see that they're there! And another thing, THEY HAVE WATER! UNDERGROUND WATER!!!! ISN'T THAT AMAZING?! I know that I may sound really ignorant, but I am easily amazed, just like a kid watching Power Rangers.

Another thing that really put the heck out of me, is the lake we've been. What is very interesting about the lake, is that it only appears once in a blue moon. What I mean is that it only gains water when there is a very heavy rain, just like in the past few weeks. And another interesting fact about that lake, its inhabited by what they call tadpole shrimps. Yes, tadpole shrimps. When the time our dearly beloved leader announced the activity of that one, and saying that there are creatures that can live without water for a very long period of time. I first thought of mud skippers, because that is what I was imagining at that moment. But when we arrived in our designated place, and we went down to the shore of the lake, we first noticed the creatures that lives there, and they are the tadpole shrimps. THEY ALL LOOK FUNKY AND SCARY!!! When I saw they, I got goosebumps because they looked like they lived in the times of the dinosaurs, well, it's their species that lived BEFORE the time of the dinosaurs. But even though it was all freaky and such, it was still fun.

Despite all the bad things people think about Saudi Arabia, there would always be something good about. No matter what it is.
